Yale Library Catalogue

Search Catalog:

Welcome to Yale Library's Online Public Access Catalogue. This catalogue is kept current and up-to-date. Search our catalogue to find information on our holdings. For specific location and copies availability, please visit the Yale Library and ask the teacher-librarian, or send an e-mail to him at: Tony_Dekleva@sd34.bc.ca

IMPORTANT: Avoid punctuation when searching, and try several combinations of words, including one word and/or groups of two words (and sometimes more words in singular and plural fashions). For example, a search for GRAD YEARBOOK may not reveal anything, but a similar search for YEARBOOKS does. Be be patient as searches can be slow to load at times!

To BROWSE ENTIRE CATALOGUE leave search box blank and press "SEARCH".

Library Call No. Locations Explained: Items are located in the library using "Call Number" prefixes . The following section explains what the various "Call Number" prefixes mean.

* "REF"= Reference Section
* "F", "PB", or 3 letters in a series "such as "KIN"= Fiction Section
* Combinations such as "759.96 MOT"= Non-fiction Section
* "ENG" and "TG" = English Dept. Section, Teaching Guides Section
* "P" = Picture Files
* "AV"= Audio Visual Section
* "EQUIP"= Equipment
* Note: If you are unsure as to where each section of the library is, ask the librarian. Teachers looking for a specific "videorecording" should enter the search term followed by the word "videorecording".
